KATIE'S KORNER 17, ST. PAUL 3 (5 INNINGS)

At St. Paul Sunday night, Katie's Korner picked up its first win of the season by rolling past host St. Paul.

Lefty Phil Schneider (1-1) spun a six-hitter over his five innings. Bob Covert paced Katie's Korner with a homer, double, single and three RBIs while Bob Hunt and Brandon Fratto both went 2-for-3 with homers.

Also for Katie's Korner (1-1), Brian Shaffer, Brad Bittner and John Rihel had a pair of hits.

Steve Feigert homered for St. Paul (2-4) while John Tomko doubled twice. Rocky Reed took the loss with Bob Young pitching in relief.
