MERCER BOWL 10, OUR GANG'S 6

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP -- Mercer Bowl opened the 2006 season with a come-from-behind 10-6 win over Our Gang's at COG Monday night. Mercer Bowl (1-0) fell behind 4-0 in the first inning but rallied for the win. Mercer Bowl took the lead for good with a six-run third inning, then sealed the victory with a pair of runs in the sixth.

Chad McComb homered and tripled to help lead the Mercer Bowl offense while John Murray homered and singled. Harry Bowser went 3-for-3 with three runs scored while Brian Eakman doubled and singled. Marty Baur scored twice. Jim Kopan earned the pitching victory.

Jay Ference led Our Gang's (0-1) with a three-run triple while Drew Carpenter and Greg Verch each scored twice. Lindsey Mizicko took the loss for Our Gang's.
