JIM'S AUTOMOTIVE & TOWING 6, CHICCARINO'S 5

HERMITAGE -- Sim Harrison's solo homer in the bottom of the sixth helped host Jim's Automotive pull out a 6-5 win over Chiccarino's Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. It is Jim's Automotive's (5-6) fourth straight win.

Chiccarino's fell behind 3-1 in the second inning but forged a 5-5 tie in the top of the sixth as Ray Delgros singled and scored on a Cale McConnell single. Harrison broke the tie with two outs in the bottom of the inning, however.

Alex Giroski added a double for Jim's Automotive while John Smith, Devin Kulka and Fred Sloan all singled twice. Bob Young earned the pitching win by allowing five runs in six innings. Kulka pitched the seventh and worked out of a bases-loaded jam for the save.

For Chiccarino's, Randy McConnell doubled twice as part of a 3-for-4 effort while Seth Terlecky and John Wise both singled twice. Kevin Percsh also singled twice. Chiccarino's left 12 runners on base, including five in the final two innings.

Ryan Briggs took the defeat for Chiccarino's (5-5). He walked one and struck out one in six innings.
