MERCER BOWL 12, CHICCARINO'S 2
PATAGONIA -- Mercer Bowl improved to 9-3 Sunday afternoon by picking up a 12-2 home win over Chiccarino's at Patagonia Senior. Mercer Bowl took command of the game by scoring eight runs in the third inning, breaking a 1-1 tie.
Devin Corini paced Mercer Bowl by going 3 for 3 with a triple. Chad McCombs homered, singled and knocked in three runs while Jon Murray also went 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Bryan Bailey ripped a bases-clearing triple and Craig Songer doubled. Bailey pitched 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win. He allowed one run. Tim Murray pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief and yielded one run.
Greg Wise doubled and singled for Chiccarino's (4-6) while Phil Ciprian and John Wise both singled twice. Ryan Briggs pitched six innings and took the defeat.
