CHICCARINO'S 14, NOTRE DAME 7
SHENANGO TOWNSHIP -- Chiccarino's used an eight-run fourth inning Tuesday night on its way to a 14-7 victory over visiting Notre Dame at COG.
John Wise went 2 for 2 with three runs batted in while Darren Gensler and David Harries both went 2 for 3 in the win for Chiccarino's (4-5). Gensler drove in a pair of runs and Harries laced a double. Greg Wise also posted a 2-for-3 effort. Jared Terlecky also doubled and knocked in three runs. Randy McConnell scored three runs.
Winning pitcher Ryan Briggs struck out two and waked three in seven innings.
For Notre Dame, Pat Connors, Sr. tripled and Tyler Allen doubled. Mark Connors, Mike Shacklock and Jim Morocco all collected two hits each. Mark Connors took the pitching setback for Notre Dame (3-7).
