MERCER BOWL 22, NOTRE DAME 6

HERMITAGE -- Visiting Mercer Bowl scored in every inning Tuesday night in securing a road victory at Notre Dame. Mercer Bowl scored 10 runs over the final three innings to break the game open.

Winning pitcher Bryan Bailey tripled and singled for Mercer Bowl (4-2) while Chad McCombs singled three times. The three hits capped a streak of hits in 11 straight at-bats for McCombs.

Devin Corini also had three hits while Bryan Bodien, Dave Bodien, Tim Murray, Craig Songer and Justin Songer all singled twice. Jim Kopan singled and reached base five times. Murray also pitched in relief to preserve Bailey's victory.

Jim Connors and John Guido both doubled and singled for Notre Dame. Pat Connors, Sr., Chris Clark and Somner all singled twice. Little doubled. Mark Connors pitched for Notre Dame.
