HICKORY GRILLE 24, UNIQUE DESIGN 7
At St. Paul, Hickory Grille made an impressive debut Tuesday night, overcoming an early 6-0 hole to pick up its first-ever victory.
Unique Design jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first against winning pitcher Chuck Joseph. However, Hickory Grille rebounded with seven runs in the top of the second inning. Unique Design forged a 7-7 tie in the bottom half of the inning before Hickory Grille broke the game open.
Nate Banick homered for Hickory Grille (1-0) while Adam Johnston also homered for the victors. Bob Young took the defeat for Unique Design (0-1).
