NOTRE DAME 13, PIONEER HOME EQUITY 5
HERMITAGE -- Host Notre Dame (3-1) handed defending league champion Pioneer Home Equity (3-1) its first loss of the season Sunday evening, earning a 13-5 victory.
Leading 4-1, Notre Dame scored 8 second-inning runs, highlighted by Ben Daoust’s 3-run homer and Ray Delgros’ triple. Jim Connors had three hits and scored three runs while John Anderson and Chris Morretti each had two hits and two runs batted in. Mark Connors earning the pitching win.
Brian Bodien and John Cascio each had a pair of hits for Pioneer. Mike Cidila took the loss for Pioneer.
