TONY'S PIZZA AND PUB/JERGLER INVESTMENTS 13, THUNDERPLEX 10

VIENNA -- Tony's Pizza and Pub/Jergler Investments improved to 2-1 Tuesday night by pulling out a 13-10 road win over host Thunderplex at the Thunderplex.

A five-run outburst in the sixth inning helped propel Tony's to the victory. Geno Rossi helped pace the Tony's Pizza attack with a triple, double, single and three runs scored while Zack Detal went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Josh McCullough tripled in two runs while Cameron Vernon and winning pitcher Harry Bowser each had a pair of hits.

Chad McCombs doubled and scored a pair of runs. Bowser got the win in relief of starter Dave Tomko.

For Thunderplex (1-3), Jay Ference doubled twice while Drew Carpenter tripled in two runs. Dave Harries, Jared Terlecky and Mike Mattes each had two hits while Dan Daum scored three runs. Lindsey Mizicko took the loss for Thunderplex. Thunderplex's three losses have been by a combined five runs.
