KNOCKOUT'S/CABALLO BAYO 6, MERCER BOWL 4
PATAGONIA -- Knockout's/Caballo Bayo jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on for a 6-4 victory over Mercer Bowl Sunday afternoon at Patagonia. The loss snaps Mercer Bowl's 32-game home win streak, dating back to 2004.
Seth Terlecky paced the Knockout's offense by going 3 for 4. Jared Terlecky added a pair of hits. Knockout's scored once in the first, twice in the second and once each in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
Ryan Briggs tossed a complete game for Knockout's, allowing four earned runs in seven innings. Jim Kopan took the defeat for Mercer Bowl (10-3).
