CHICCARINO'S 13, DOUBLE D ENTERPRISES 1

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP --  Chiccarino's opened the 2009 season Monday night with a 13-1 victory over Double D Enterprises at COG. Chiccarino's broke the game open with nine runs in the top of the fourth.

Phil Ciprian collected four hits for Chiccarino's while Larry McConnell went 3 for 3 with two runs scored. Kevin Faber had two hits and scored three runs while Ben Mackall and Dave Harries also had two hits. Cale McConnell tripled.

Ryan Briggs earned the pitching win for Chiccarino's, allowing two hits in five innings. Hollabaugh doubled for Double D Enterprises while Joe Bello singled.
