MERCER BOWL 5, LOGAN & CO. 3

PATAGONIA -- Mercer Bowl pulled out a 5-3 home win over Logan & Co. Sunday evening in a midseason battle for second place in the league.

Winning pitcher Bryan Bailey belted a two-run homer to give Mercer Bowl a 3-0 lead. Logan & Co. rallied to tie the game but Mercer Bowl closed the scoring as Brian Bodien and Chad McComb each hit solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively. Devin Corini added two singles for the victors.

Bailey allowed just four hits. For Logan & Co., pitcher Bob Young struck out a season-high four batters.
