SHARON VFW 12, NOTRE DAME 7

HERMITAGE -- Sharon VFW snapped a four-game slide Thursday by pulling out a 12-7 victory over host Notre Dame.

Todd Davis collected three hits for VFW, including a triple. Jason Evakich roped a pair of doubles while Harry Bowser notched the pitching victory.

For Notre Dame, Rudy Banick cranked a two-run home run while Pat Connors Sr. tripled. Nate Banick, Jim Connors and Pat Connors Jr. all had two hits each.
