CHICCARINO'S 17, DOUBLE D ENTERPRISES 2
SHENANGO TOWNSHIP -- Chiccarino's scored six runs in the bottom of the second, then added nine more runs in the third inning Wednesday night en route to the victory over visiting Double D Enterprises at COG.
Ben Mackall paced Chiccarino's 19-hit attack by homering, singling and driving in four runs. He also scored twice. Greg Wise went 3 for 3 while Phil Ciprian doubled as part of a 3-for-4 outing. Kevin Faber tripled and singled. Adam Felton and John Wise both singled twice and Darren Gensler laced a double. Cale McConnell drove in two runs. Ryan Briggs and Dave Tomko combined for a four-hitter. Briggs pitched three innings and Tomko recorded the final six outs.
Matt Bartolec tripled for Double D while Chuck Fizet added a run-scoring single. Lindsey Mizicko and Dave Apgar both pitched.
