SHARON VFW 5, CHICCARINO'S 2
SHENANGO TOWNSHIP -- Sharon VFW completed a season sweep of Chiccarino's Tuesday night by pulling out a 5-2 home win at COG.
Winning pitcher Harry Bowser yielded just six hits and no walks in a complete-game performance. Offensively, Travis Zuschlag tripled and singled for VFW (15-1) while Nate Banick doubled.
Randy McConnell doubled for Chiccarino's (7-8) and David Harries went 2 for 2. Ryan Briggs took the loss after giving up three earned runs in six innings.
